Set-up your HydroBell in 15 seconds:
A) Install the battery (9 volts)
- Slide off the battery cover in the direction of the arrow
- Take the battery snap out of the lodging and click it firmly onto the new battery (avoid polarity inversion)
- Place the battery in its lodging, slide the battery cover back on. HydroBell is now operational.
B) Test the main unit
- Wet your thumb and index finger
- Apply a finger on each metal probe as if you wanted to squeeze the unit. Alternatively, you can rest the unit on a wet and flat surface.
The alarm sounds!
C) Test the remote sensor:
- Insert the remote sensor's plug into the jack of the main unit
- Dip the sensing end into a glass of water.
The alarm sounds!
For best operation:
- Never allow water to enter the main unit
- Keep the metallic parts of the main unit and of the remote sensor free of grit and dirt
- Preferably use a good quality alkaline battery for long lasting alarm sounding
- Periodically test the unit and replace the battery if the sound gets weak or if beeping gets slow (three or less beeps per second)
